There will be a Director of Transportation position available within the Olentangy Local School District for the 2017-18 school year, effective February 1, 2018.
The Director of Transportation will oversee and administer the district’s Department of Transportation by providing the necessary leadership to secure, maintain and improve the transportation operation; to direct, supervise and manage the entire transportation department assuring safe, efficient and convenient transportation for eligible students.
Qualifications should include: five (5) years of related administrative experience; experience and working knowledge of transportation software and logistics; ability to drive a school bus and obtain the required certification; ability to supervise and manage a large and complex PreK-12 transportation operation; ability to effectively supervise, manage and work with administrative and classified staff, parents and students; ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing; and a thorough knowledge of Ohio transportation rules and regulations. Alternatives to the above qualifications as superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate.
