The Education and Social Policy Project at the Center for Policy Research is hiring aresearch associate. We are seeking an individual with strong programming, datamanagement, and analytical skills (i.e. econometrics, applied statistics) withexperience and training related to economics, public policy or a related socialscience.
The research associate will participate in a variety of applied research and evaluationstudies using large databases and econometric methods to shed light on the causes and consequences of social problems and policy solutions.
Current research projects (funded by National Institutes of Health and privatefoundations) include the effect of Universal Free Meals on student outcomes, anRCT assessing alternative BMI and fitness report cards, the role of the builtenvironment and pupil transportation in shaping children’s outcomes, transportation and school choice, and the impactof housing assistance on student outcomes.
