Responsibilities: Under minimal supervision from the Director of Finance & Operations you will coordinate and manage the activities and operations of the Facilities and Transportation Department.
Primary responsibilities include the development, implementation and management of policies, priorities, goals, objectives, and budgets for assigned functional areas. This role includes analyzing, identifying and prioritizing the campus needs including scope, schedule, budget and quality of work necessary to maintain all grounds, building, mechanical, equipment, and fleet assets. The Facilities & Operations Manager will make recommendations and forecasts for future funding needs associated with staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies. The role requires a primary stakeholder interest in the development of a campus master plan and overseeing strategic capital projects including new construction or asset purchases. Additionally, the manager coordinates the Schools transportation program, campus security and safety.
Supervise a staff of four or more employees and oversee management and coordination of maintenance contracts including but not limited to HVAC, elevators, fire systems, and vehicles. At times you may be required to write various reports and provide documents needed to coordinate the full scope of activities with other departments or the Facilities Committee.
Operate as a functional member of the Forest Ridge Facilities and Transportation Department team. Assist in any and all work necessary including directly supporting the daily operating needs of the School. The successful candidate will develop and implement policies and procedures to reduce costs, improve safety and advance the overall operating capabilities of the School.
