Harvard University Employees Credit Union: https://www.huecu.org/ Under the direction of the Mortgage Servicing Manager, performs a variety of functions within the Mortgage Servicing Department.
Responds to member inquiries with regard to their mortgages serviced by the credit union. Provides the highest level of service. Working in a team environment to perform start to finish Mortgage Servicing tasks, including but not limited to: - Payoff quoting and processing.
- Prepares discharges.
- Payment processing and file maintenance.
- Obtaining flood insurance invoices from insurance agent and forwarding to escrow processing for payment.
- Prepares mortgage modifications and subordinations.
- E-records mortgages and discharges.
- Ensures the timely payment and reconciliation of all real estate taxes.
- Running of the annual escrow analysis with core provider.
- Ensures the timely payment of PMI premiums and reconciles any differences between insurer's invoice and core system data.
- Performs research regarding tax payment issues, and monitors tax service provider's reports for the addition and deletion of loans, resolves any issues discovered.
- Responsible from the credit union's insurance tracking vendor.
- Responsible for the HMDA LAR data entry and validation review.
- Responsible for performing a review of all closed mortgages and home equity lines to ensure the quality and integrity of the loan file and resolving any discrepancies to ensure accuracy of the data.
- Responsible for responding to member's inquiries related to home or auto insurance policies.
- Scans and files mortgage documents as needed. Responsible for adhering to the CU's loan retention policy including the purging of outdated documents.
- Responds to auditors' requests.
- May be asked to assist other mortgage lending teams.
This position is designated as critical for the Harvard University Employees Credit Union as it provides non-deferrable services that must be performed in the event of an emergency or weather-related closure.
