The Co-op School is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our administrative team. The right candidate will have a grasp of school-based administrative skills to help serve as a point of contact and link between employees, internal departments, and external parties, including vendors, and families. They handle clerical and administrative duties, analyze and improve office processes and policies, and ensure that the main office and school systems operate smoothly. The Administrative Coordinator reports to the Head of School and works closely with the administrative team.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge, understanding, and commitment to The Co-op School’s mission, vision, and core values.
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Education and/or Non-Profit Management
- Prior experience as Administrative or Executive Assistant to senior-level management in an educational setting
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact comfortably with students, parents, faculty, and staff
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, while also being able to work independently
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and organized with demonstrated initiative
- Able to make quick decisions, prioritize tasks, and meet a variety of deadlines
- Ability to create presentations and reports for a variety of constituents using Google Suite
- Well versed in technology, various software suites, and office equipment related to the position
- Deep commitment to the social and emotional wellness of the community along with a focus on equity, inclusion, and diversity practices
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Works collaboratively with the Head of School and other administrators to manage all projects and administrative details
- Manages the main office and serves as the primary receptionist from 8:00-4:00 pm.
- Monitor student attendance
- Coordinate emergency drills
- Inventories and orders all office supplies
- Coordinates OPT (Office of Pupil Transportation)
- Maintain Databases for communication and student information systems.
- Coordinates hospitality and amenities for various events
- Works with Administrative Team to support administrative needs.
- Shares agenda for Administrative Team meetings and takes minutes for each meeting
- Coordinates professional development activities as requested
- Supports in-house professional development needs working with the Director of HR and School Nurse to schedule professional development events and required training
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work in a school environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
- Occasionally bend, stoop, and squat
- May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
- Willing to work some evenings and weekends for school-related events or projects
COMPENSATION

Start Date June 1, 2022
Salary: Commensurate with experience
This job operates on a 12-month calendar. Evening and weekend hours are needed at times.
