Job Qualifications:
The Suffern Central School District is seeking a talented, dedicated, and collaborative leader to be the Assistant Superintendent for Business.
Candidate should have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid track record of working respectfully and cooperatively with individuals and groups representing all segments of the school community.
- Detailed knowledge of all aspects of the Business Office inclusive of grants, vendor services and payments, procurement, payroll, benefits, tax collection, and risk management
- Experience providing leadership to the Facilities/Buildings and Grounds Department, Safety Risk Management and Capital Projects
- Thorough understanding of regulations and requirements regarding pupil transportation and food service
- Ability to provide supervision over the Food Service program
- Collaborative problem-solver who enjoys working with teams
- Strong skills and fluency with job-related technology
Salary/Benefits: Salary in excess of $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Regionally competitive benefits package.

NYS Certification as a School District Business Leader (SDBL) or School Business Administrator (SBA) or School District Administrator (SDA).
At least five years of experience as a successful leader in the areas of public-school finance, budget development and management and business office operations.
