The Manager of Data Integration (MDI) is responsible for the Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) practice. The MDI works with developers, the technical infrastructure team and product owners to support the timely and reliable delivery of integration services and features. The MDI maintains the technology currency of the Informatica implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and document complex tasks, including:
- Informatica integrations, data synchronizations, mappings, APIs, and OData. Extract, transfer, and Load data in disparate enterprise systems.
- Oracle SQL procedures, functions, and views. Organize and process information in a way that enables users to easily and intuitively go back and find details
- Salesforce workflows, external objects, and external services. Allow external data to be manipulated and loaded in a manner to be useful to end users for both searching and reporting
- Marketing Cloud data extensions. Load data to be used in all communications
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners to determine needs and evaluate solutions
- Monitor and support Informatica?s daily operations by optimizing scheduling across the platform to assure balanced and efficient service delivery. Tunning of existing assets to maintain high level of service
- Provide technical expertise and direction in developing and supporting system level integrations
- Architecture design to build a solid foundation on which new services or updates of existing services can be built
- Quality assurance focusing on improving the integration development process and making it efficient and effective
- Troubleshoot integration problems and recommend appropriate resolution employing data analysis skills
- Provide training to staff in both best practices of ETL procedures as well as design and development of integrations, mappings, and APIs
- Actively contribute to formulation of plans and policies
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Master's Degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience orchestrating and optimizing Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes
- Demonstrated experience working on Salesforce platforms, preferably within the higher education context
- Proficient in SOQL, SOSL, SQL
- Competency in Web Services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP)

This position will be based in Cambridge, MA. DCE is currently trialing hybrid workplace models with a minimum of 2 days per week on campus, and will actively support some remote work (within a state in which Harvard is registered to do business: CA, CT, MA, MD, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT) where business and team needs allow. DCE may adjust these as necessary or appropriate. Furthermore, individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
