Basic Qualifications
What you'll need:- Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, biomedical engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of direct cell culture or related experience required.
- Education may count towards year of experience.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Desirable Skills:- Advanced degree strongly preferred in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, biomedical engineering or related field.
- Experience with in vitro analytical techniques to assess the cell viability of tissue constructs.
- Experience with microfluidics.
- Experience working with induced pluripotent stem cells.
- Experience with 3D cell and tissue cultures.
- Willingness to work outside of his/her discipline to accomplish project goals.
- Excellent molecular biology skills.
- Experience with flow cytometry, ELISAs, PCR, and microscopy. Animal work experience.
- Proven ability to draft and implement lab protocols. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and goal-oriented personality.
Working Conditions
This position will be based on our campus in Boston, MA and will require on-campus presence. Subject to business needs, the Wyss Institute generally supports flexible work arrangements.
