• Bachelor’s degree
• Three or more years of experience working in IACUC administration
• CPIA certification or eligible for certification. If eligible, must take CPIA exam within 18 months of start date. 

• Advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local regulations regarding the care and use of animals in research.
• Familiarity with electronic protocol review/management systems and grants management systems is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to take initiative, work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work well under deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, with demonstrated ability to organize, write about and discuss regulatory and complex issues clearly.
• Ability to work closely with the veterinary and animal care staff to resolve issues of noncompliance.
• Ability to communicate with a highly diverse group of people, with sensitivity to cultural differences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion.

Working Conditions :

• Work is performed in office, laboratory, and vivarium settings.
• This position is eligible for flexible work arrangements as business needs allow and in consultation with hiring manager.
